Dr. Nicklas Berild Lundblad has worked with the development of technology policy through positions at several leading technology companies, including roles as European policy director at Google, where he coordinated efforts across multiple countries during a formative period for EU digital policy, as well as later leadership roles in Google’s global policy strategy in Mountain View and at DeepMind’s work on AI governance. With academic foundations in philosophy, law, and informatics, Lundblad has authored several books and academic texts, while also providing expertise to international organizations such as the European Commission and the OECD. His interdisciplinary perspective has enabled him to serve as a bridge between technical innovation and policy development, where he has sought to integrate legal, ethical and societal considerations into the governance of emerging technologies.
